How Commissions Work
Step 1: Fill Out the Commission Form
Start by filling out the form below. Once I have your info, I’ll reach out directly to learn more about what you’re envisioning.Step 2: Define the Project
We’ll nail down the size, scope, and details. Then I’ll send over a commission contract for you to review and sign. Once the contract is set and the initial deposit is in, I get to work.Step 3: Sketch It Out
I’ll share preliminary sketches so we’re on the same page about layout and composition. You’ll also get progress updates as the piece comes to life.Step 4: Bring It to Life
I’ll complete the final painting, send photos of it it for your approval, and make any last adjustments before varnishing and packing it up for its journey to you.Step 5: Payment & Shipping
Once the final balance is paid, your painting is on its way, carefully packaged and ready for its new home! -

Being a wildlife artist, I do not typically paint people. If you are looking to commission a painting of a loved one that does not have feathers, fur, or scales, I would happily refer you to an artist that specializes in painting people.
Ready to get started?
Interested in a custom piece? I take commissions for original paintings and drawings of birds(of course), insects, reptiles, and other various wildlife.
Fill out the form with the details (species, pose, size, whatever you’ve got in mind), and I’ll work with you to create a one-of-a-kind piece that brings your vision to life on canvas.
Please note that commission rates vary based on the canvas size, medium, and number of subjects.
