How Commissions Work

Step 1: Fill Out the Commission Form
Start by filling out the form below. Once I have your info, I’ll reach out directly to learn more about what you’re envisioning.

Step 2: Define the Project
We’ll nail down the size, scope, and details. Then I’ll send over a commission contract for you to review and sign. Once the contract is signed and the initial deposit is received, I will begin work.

Step 3: Sketch It Out
I’ll share preliminary sketches so we’re on the same page about layout and composition. You’ll also get progress updates as the piece comes to life.

Step 4: Bring It to Life
I’ll complete the final painting, send photos of it for your approval, and make any last adjustments before varnishing and packing it up for its journey to you.

Step 5: Payment & Shipping
Once the final balance is paid, your painting will be carefully packaged and shipped to its new home!

Commission rates are determined by the size and scope of the project.

Shipping is included in the price for US customers. International customers may be subject to additional shipping and import fees.

The following rates are for a single-subject animal portrait. Final pricing may vary depending on the number of subjects and overall complexity of the piece.

Being a wildlife artist, I do not typically paint people. If you are looking to commission a painting of a loved one that does not have feathers, fur, or scales, I would happily refer you to an artist that specializes in painting people.
